What Are Some Tips in Finding  the Right Appliance Repair Company Locally?

1.  Don’t Settle on the First One You Talk to

Again, this is no time to be hasty. Do not pick the first company you call even if they sound okay. You can always call them back.  A reputable appliance repair company will understand that you need to shop around to be sure you are getting a good deal and quality company.

2.  Does the Owner Do Repairs?

Find out if the owner of the business actually does repair work as well.  Locating growing and successful smaller repair companies takes a little more effort, but it will often translate into superior repair work.

3.  Don’t Decide on Price Alone

Don’t just go with the cheapest company. You never know what you are getting yourself into or why they chose/need to be the lowest price. That certainly doesn’t mean you have to pay the highest price in order to get quality work, either.  Ask good questions.  You are trying to find the best overall combination of knowledge, experience, and price.

4.  Ask a Specific Repair Question

If you do not know a specific problem to ask about, think up an appropriate ‘dummy question’. For example, ask each company the total charge to change a direct drive Whirlpool dishwasher’s water pump, including any and all call out fees, parts and labor, service charges and trip charges.  Use the same scenario with each company called. Each company should be able to give you a good estimate, and you can use the prices to compare each company.

5.  Do You Guarantee or Warranty Your Work?

Do they, in writing, guarantee or warranty all work performed as well as all parts installed? How long does this guarantee and/or warranty last?

Dishwasher Repair Tips

Everyone knows that home appliances are very important. After all, no one has time to be hand washing jeans and sheets these days, and having to toast bread over an open fire would certainly not be very convenient! Appliances are very important in our homes, but which ones are the most important? Out of all of the appliances available in stores today, which ones are the ones that would be labeled as "must haves"? This article will touch on the top ten appliances to have at home, and will also back up each one as to why it is in the top ten list.

Number One - Stove: Without a stove in your kitchen you would definitely need a fireplace, unless you planned on eating out at least once a day, if not several times per day. If you were to eat out that often, the money you would spend in a week or two would probably pay for any stove you would like to buy! A stove can boil water, bake a cake, cook chicken, beef or fish, and basically cook or bake anything you need. Most recipes in your cookbook need a stove to complete the recipe.

Number Nine - Food Processor: These handy appliances come in all kinds of sizes these days and they are very helpful in the kitchen. Instead of spending an hour chopping up foods for dinner you can do it in minutes with a food processor. Also, if Mom has to go away for a couple of days, instead of buying unhealthy frozen dinners for her family, she can pre-chop all of the veggies needed for meals and just leave some simple instructions that hopefully Dad can follow!

Number Ten - Microwave: When you want to defrost something fast, or heat some leftovers, a microwave is a very important appliance. Also, without a microwave, you could never have any microwave popcorn.

So there it is, a list of the top 10 home appliance must have's.
